Intrepid Potash, Inc. is a diversified mineral company that provides potassium, magnesium, sulfur, salt, and water products. These products are used in agriculture, animal feed, and the oil and gas industry. The company is the sole U.S. producer of muriate of potash, also known as potassium chloride or potash, which is an essential nutrient for crops, used in industrial applications, and an ingredient in animal feed. Intrepid Potash also produces Trio®, a specialty fertilizer that combines potassium, magnesium, and sulfur in one particle. Additionally, the company offers water, magnesium chloride, brine, and various oilfield products and services. All of Intrepid Potash's extraction and production operations are located in the continental U.S. Potash is produced from three solution mining facilities: the HB solution mine in Carlsbad, New Mexico; a solution mine in Moab, Utah; and a brine recovery mine in Wendover, Utah. The North compaction facility in Carlsbad, New Mexico, compacts and granulates product from the HB mine. Trio® is produced from the conventional underground East mine in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The company also holds land, water rights, federal grazing leases, and related assets in southeast New Mexico, referred to as "Intrepid South." Intrepid South generates revenue from sales of oilfield-related products and services, including water, brine, surface use and right-of-way agreements, a produced water royalty agreement, and caliche. The company's three primary products are potash, Trio®, and water, with additional sales of salt, magnesium chloride, and brines derived from its mining processes. Intrepid Potash was incorporated in Delaware in 2007.
