Immunovant, Inc. is a clinical-stage immunology company focused on developing treatments for autoimmune diseases. The company's primary focus is on IMVT-1402 (imeroprubart), an inhibitor of the neonatal fragment crystallizable receptor (FcRn). FcRn plays a role in preventing the breakdown of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies, and inhibiting FcRn can reduce levels of total IgG and pathogenic IgG antibodies. Immunovant believes FcRn inhibition has broad therapeutic potential for autoimmune diseases driven by pathogenic IgG, including those in endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, and dermatology. Third-party estimates indicate that over four million patients in the United States and Europe could benefit from anti-FcRn treatments across more than 20 publicly announced indications. Two indications are already approved and have quickly achieved multi-billions of dollars in global annual sales. Consistent evidence from Phase 2 and 3 trials across eight indications with FcRn inhibitors shows that deeper IgG reductions correlate with significant improvements in clinical outcomes. Immunovant's own Phase 2 and 3 studies of its first-generation anti-FcRn antibody, batoclimab, in Graves' disease (GD), myasthenia gravis (MG), and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) demonstrated that IgG reductions of 70% or more led to better outcomes compared to reductions below 70%. In a Phase 1 clinical trial, healthy adults receiving IMVT-1402 showed deep, dose-dependent IgG reductions. The company anticipates achieving approximately 80% IgG reductions with continued weekly dosing of 600 mg of IMVT-1402, which would offer deeper IgG reductions than observed with other competitor anti-FcRn programs. In the Phase 1 trial, IMVT-1402 showed no or minimal reductions in albumin and no or minimal increases in LDL cholesterol levels across all evaluated doses, which are off-target effects seen with some other anti-FcRn antibodies, including batoclimab.
