Terrestrial Energy Inc. is an advanced nuclear technology company focused on developing and commercializing its Integral Molten Salt Reactor nuclear plant ("IMSR Plant"). The IMSR Plant utilizes the Company's proprietary Molten Salt Reactor ("MSR") design. The company aims to provide low-carbon electricity and industrial heat, emphasizing superior economics, rapid deployment, and flexible siting. Terrestrial Energy positions the IMSR Plant as an efficient alternative to traditional nuclear power and intermittent renewable energy sources. The Company was incorporated on April 4, 2024, as HCM II Acquisition Corp., a Cayman Islands exempted corporation. On October 23, 2025, HCM II domesticated as a Delaware corporation and changed its name to Terrestrial Energy Inc. On October 28, 2025, Terrestrial Energy Inc. completed a Business Combination with Terrestrial Energy Development Inc. ("TEDI"), a Delaware corporation, with TEDI becoming a wholly owned subsidiary. Following this, Terrestrial Energy Inc. operates as a holding company, conducting operations through TEDI and holding an equity interest in TEDI as its primary asset. For accounting purposes, this Business Combination was treated as a reverse recapitalization, with TEDI as the accounting acquirer.
