Hing Fat manufactures and sells high-quality mechanical locksets, primarily in the United States and Canada. The company began selling door locksets in 1981 and started a manufacturing workshop in China in 1983, which is now its manufacturing subsidiary, Xingfa. Since 2000, Hing Fat has offered products meeting American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Grade 2 and Grade 3 standards, developed by the Builders Hardware Manufacturing Association (BHMA) for ANSI. The company focuses on producing mechanical locksets for both outdoor uses, such as main entrances and gates, and indoor uses. Hing Fat designs its products to go beyond basic security, offering a wide range of Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) door locksets from "Premium Series" to "Economy-oriented Series" with classic to contemporary looks, functions, and colors. Currently, products are sold mainly in the USA, and some in Canada, Taiwan, and China. Sales to the US and Canada ("North America") are primarily handled through Kambo Locksets, a Hong Kong registered subsidiary. Kambo Hardware, another Hong Kong registered subsidiary, distributes locksets and related hardware to countries outside North America, serving customers in Asian countries including Thailand and Australia. In 1993, Hing Fat established its wholly foreign-owned entity (WFOE) subsidiary, Dongguan Xingfa Hardware Products Limited ("Xingfa"), located in Shatian County, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province of PRC. Xingfa operates a 12,294 m² manufacturing facility equipped with various machines for metal processing, including die casting machines, furnaces, and polishing machines.
