InPoint Commercial Real Estate Income, Inc.

InPoint Commercial Real Estate Income, Inc. invests in a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE) investments. The company primarily holds CRE debt, which includes floating rate first mortgage loans and subordinate mortgage and mezzanine loans. It may also invest in participations in loans secured by CRE, floating rate CRE securities like CMBS, senior unsecured debt of publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), and select equity investments in single-tenant, net leased properties. Substantially all of its business operations are conducted through InPoint REIT Operating Partnership, LP, a Delaware limited partnership, where InPoint Commercial Real Estate Income, Inc. is the sole general partner and holds all limited partner interests. The company has elected to be taxed as a REIT for U.S. federal income tax purposes. It is externally managed by an Advisor, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation (IREIC), which is the company's sponsor and a member of Inland. The Advisor coordinates the day-to-day operations and is responsible for originating, acquiring, and managing the CRE investment portfolio, under the supervision of the company's board of directors. The Advisor performs these duties as a fiduciary under an amended and restated advisory agreement dated July 1, 2021.
