Ibotta operates a digital promotions platform called the Ibotta Performance Network (IPN), which aims to make every purchase rewarding. The company sources digital promotions primarily from consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands and distributes these to consumers through a network of publishers, enabled by its technology platform. Key third-party publishers on the IPN include Walmart Inc., Dollar General Corporation, Family Dollar Stores, Inc., Maplebear, Inc. (Instacart), and DoorDash, Inc., which use Ibotta's content for their white-label digital offer programs. Ibotta also hosts offers on its direct-to-consumer (D2C) properties, which are part of the IPN and include the Ibotta-branded cash back mobile app, website, and browser extension. Within D2C, Ibotta partners with affiliate networks to provide consumers with cash back on a percentage of their total basket spend at certain retailers. In 2025, Ibotta introduced LiveLift™, a set of capabilities designed to help brands drive incremental sales at scale more cost-efficiently, offering sophisticated projections and profitability metrics like incremental sales and cost-per-incremental-dollar (CPID). The company also partners with Circana and ABCS Insights to provide clients with third-party validation of campaign impact through sales lift studies. As of December 31, 2025, Ibotta worked with over 900 clients, representing over 3,100 CPG brands, to source exclusive digital offers. Most offers cover non-discretionary categories like grocery, but also include general merchandise such as toys, clothing, beauty, electronics, pet, and home goods. The IPN operates on a success-based marketing model, where Ibotta is paid when a client's promotion results in a consumer transaction.
