Hut 8 is an energy infrastructure platform that integrates power, digital infrastructure, and compute at scale. The company focuses on developing, commercializing, and operating critical infrastructure for energy-intensive technology applications. Its platform has three layers: Power, Digital Infrastructure, and Compute. Hut 8 participates across the infrastructure value chain, including securing power, developing and operating digital infrastructure assets, and deploying compute capacity. Currently, the core focus is on developing and operating data centers at scale, supporting AI, high-performance computing ("HPC"), ASIC compute, and other energy-intensive technology applications. The Power layer involves acquiring, developing, and managing critical energy assets like powered land, interconnects, substations, switchyards, and related electrical systems. As of December 31, 2025, this layer managed 1,020 megawatts ("MW") of energy capacity across 15 sites in the United States and Canada, including owned, leased, or third-party operated assets. Approximately 310 MW of this capacity was associated with four power generation assets divested in Q1 2026. The Digital Infrastructure layer designs, builds, commercializes, and operates purpose-built data center facilities. As of December 31, 2025, this layer included five ASIC compute data centers, five traditional cloud and colocation data centers, and one non-operational ASIC compute site. Hut 8 is also developing an AI data center at its River Bend campus in Louisiana, which will commercialize 330 MW of utility capacity and is targeted for initial delivery and commissioning in Q2 2027.
