H2O America

H2O America is a holding company that conducts its business through wholly owned subsidiaries. The company, initially incorporated as SJW Corp. in California in 1985, changed its name to H2O America in May 2025. Its primary subsidiary is San Jose Water Company (SJWC), incorporated in California in 1866 and headquartered in San Jose, California. SJWC operates as a public utility, providing water service in the metropolitan San Jose, California area. Another key subsidiary is H2O America NE LLC, a Delaware limited liability company formed in 2019. This entity holds H2O America's investment in Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (CTWS), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of H2O America NE LLC in 2019. CTWS, incorporated in Connecticut in 1974 and headquartered in Clinton, Connecticut, is also a holding company. Its four wholly owned subsidiaries include The Connecticut Water Company (CWC) and The Maine Water Company (MWC), both public utilities providing water service in Connecticut and Maine, respectively. The other two CTWS subsidiaries are Chester Realty, Inc., a real estate company in Connecticut, and New England Water Utility Services, Inc.
