Heartflow provides software and artificial intelligence (AI) for diagnosing and managing coronary artery disease (CAD). The company's Heartflow Platform offers a non-invasive solution designed to be accurate and clinically effective. As of December 31, 2025, the Heartflow Platform has been used to assess CAD in over 600,000 patients, with 219,000 assessments occurring in 2025 alone. Heartflow states it is the most widely adopted AI-powered test for CAD. The platform uses AI and advanced computational fluid dynamics to create a personalized 3D model of a patient's heart. This model is generated from a single coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) scan, which provides detailed images of the heart's arteries. The Heartflow Platform provides insights into blood flow, stenosis, plaque volume, and plaque composition. This approach aims to overcome limitations of traditional non-invasive imaging tests, which rely on indirect measures of coronary disease and have higher false negative and false positive rates, as demonstrated by the company's PRECISE trial. Heartflow believes its platform's accuracy, clinical utility, and ability to enhance workflows will support its growth and establish the "CCTA + Heartflow" pathway as a standard for non-invasive CAD diagnosis and management. CAD is a leading cause of death globally, responsible for half of all cardiovascular-related deaths. In the United States, approximately 805,000 people suffer a heart attack each year.
