Hooker Furnishings Corporation, incorporated in Virginia in 1924, designs, markets, and imports casegoods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture, fabric-upholstered furniture, lighting, accessories, and home decor. These products serve the residential, hospitality, and contract markets. The company also manufactures premium residential custom leather, custom fabric-upholstered furniture, and outdoor furniture domestically. During fiscal 2026, management determined that the Pulaski Furniture ("PFC") and Samuel Lawrence Furniture ("SLF") brands within the Home Meridian segment no longer aligned with the company's long-term strategic direction. On December 1, 2025, the company entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement to sell the PFC and SLF casegoods brands, including specified assets and liabilities. The company completed this sale on December 12, 2025, receiving approximately $5.5 million in cash, representing the estimated net book value of the assets at closing less a holdback amount of approximately $611,000. Following the sale, the Home Meridian segment was eliminated, and its remaining Samuel Lawrence Hospitality brand was reclassified into the "All Other" category. The company retains the Samuel Lawrence brand for its hospitality business. Furnishings sales account for all of the company's net sales.
