Hines Global has no employees; its business is managed by an Advisor, an affiliate of Hines, under an advisory agreement. The company compensates its Advisor with asset management fees, a performance participation allocation, and fees for other services, and reimburses certain expenses. Hines or its affiliates manage the leasing and operations for most of the properties, for which Hines Global pays property management and leasing fees. Hines is owned and controlled by Jeffrey C. Hines, who is also the Chairman of Hines Global's board of directors and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hines and Laura Hines-Pierce, a member of Hines Global's board, serve as Co-Chief Executive Officers of Hines.
