Horizon Bancorp, Inc. is a registered bank holding company incorporated in Indiana and headquartered in Michigan City, Indiana. The company provides a broad range of banking services in northern and central Indiana and southern and central Michigan through its bank subsidiary, Horizon Bank, and other affiliated entities. Horizon operates as a single segment, which is commercial banking. Horizon's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol HBNC. Horizon Bank was founded in 1873 and converted to an Indiana commercial bank effective June 23, 2017. It is a full-service commercial bank offering commercial and retail banking services, corporate and individual trust and agency services, and other services incident to banking. Horizon has expanded its geographic reach and experienced financial growth through organic expansion and mergers and acquisitions, developing a presence in new markets in southern and central Michigan and northeastern and central Indiana. The Bank maintains 71 full service offices. At December 31, 2025, the Bank had total assets of $6.4 billion and total deposits of $5.3 billion. The Bank has wholly-owned direct and indirect subsidiaries including Horizon Investments, Inc., which manages the Bank's investment portfolio; Horizon Properties, Inc., which manages the real estate investment trust; Horizon Insurance Services, Inc., used by the Company's Wealth Management to sell certain life insurance products through a third party; and Horizon Grantor Trust, which holds title to certain company owned life insurance policies.
