Home Bancorp, Inc. is a Louisiana corporation that operates as the holding company for Home Bank, N.A. The Bank, headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana, conducts business through 43 banking offices across several regions: Acadiana, Baton Rouge, Greater New Orleans, and Northshore (of Lake Pontchartrain) in south Louisiana; the Natchez region of west Mississippi; and the Houston region of Texas. The Bank attracts deposits from the public and uses these funds to invest in loans and securities. Its main funding sources include customer deposits, loan repayments, investment repayments, and borrowed funds from sources like the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. These funds are primarily used to originate various types of loans, including one-to four-family first mortgage loans, home equity loans and lines, commercial real estate loans, construction and land loans, multi-family residential loans, commercial and industrial loans, and consumer loans. The Bank earns income mainly from interest on loans and investment securities, and to a lesser extent, from loan origination fees, service charges on deposit accounts, and other services. Its primary expenses are interest expense and general operating expenses, with compensation and benefits being the most significant. The company considers all its operations to be part of one reportable operating segment. The Bank also established HB Investment Fund I, LLC and HB Investment Fund II, LLC to invest in New Markets Tax Credits and Federal Tax Credits in its market areas; HB Investment Fund I, LLC was dissolved in October 2025.
