Genworth Financial offers mortgage insurance products and aging-care services. The company provides mortgage insurance through its main mortgage insurance subsidiaries. It also operates start-up businesses, CareScout Services, which offers fee-based services, advice, consulting, and other aging-care services, and CareScout Insurance, which offers long-term care insurance products. In October 2025, Genworth Financial started selling an individual long-term care insurance product through its CareScout Insurance subsidiary, CareScout Insurance Company. Concurrently, it stopped selling long-term care insurance products through Genworth Life Insurance Company ("GLIC"). GLIC and its subsidiaries, referred to as "Closed Block" or "legacy insurance subsidiaries," no longer sell long-term care, life insurance, or annuity products, but continue to service and manage existing policies and may issue limited certificates under existing group long-term care insurance policies. Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025, Genworth Financial changed its reportable segments to: Enact, primarily comprising private mortgage insurance products, and Closed Block, comprising long-term care insurance, life insurance, and annuity products previously sold through its legacy insurance companies. Genworth Financial is the parent company of Enact Holdings, a provider of private mortgage insurance in the United States.
