Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. is a global provider of satellite-based broadband communications. Incorporated in Israel in 1987, the company develops and manufactures ground-segment equipment, including its cloud-based network platform, VSAT terminals, modems, on-the-move and IFC ESA antennas, SSPAs, BUCs, and transceivers. Gilat delivers integrated end-to-end connectivity solutions for broadband, mobility, enterprise, government, and defense applications. The company also provides managed connectivity services over networks it deploys and operates, primarily under Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) and Build-Own-Operate (BOO) models. Gilat supports its global customer base with sales and service offices, Network Operations Centers, and R&D centers located in Israel, the United States, and Europe. The company shipped its first generation VSAT in 1989. Its intellectual property portfolio includes 68 issued patents (50 U.S. and 18 foreign) related to its VSAT and other systems, 4 issued patents in the U.S. for its satellite communication on the move antenna solutions, and 14 issued patents (4 U.S. and 10 foreign) for its high power SSPAs and other systems.
