The company operates an integrated business model that combines freight car manufacturing, wheel services, railcar maintenance, component parts, leasing, and fleet management services. This model aims to provide customers with comprehensive freight car product and service solutions by leveraging its engineering, mechanical, and technical capabilities, as well as experienced commercial personnel. The company operates in two reportable segments: Manufacturing and Leasing & Fleet Management. Effective September 1, 2024, the former Maintenance Services and Manufacturing segments were combined into a single Manufacturing segment. Separately, the former Leasing & Management Services reportable segment was renamed Leasing & Fleet Management. These changes reflect a realignment of the organizational structure and reporting, with no impact on consolidated results of operations or financial position. Prior period segment results have been recast to reflect these new reportable segments.
