First United Corporation

The Corporation serves as the parent company for First United Bank & Trust, a Maryland trust company. It also oversees First United Statutory Trust I and First United Statutory Trust II, both Connecticut statutory business trusts, which were established to sell trust preferred securities that qualify as Tier 1 capital. First United Bank & Trust has two consumer finance company subsidiaries, OakFirst Loan Center, Inc. (a West Virginia corporation) and OakFirst Loan Center, LLC (a Maryland limited liability company). Additionally, it owns First OREO Trust, a Maryland statutory trust used to hold real estate acquired through foreclosure or deed in lieu of foreclosure. The Bank also holds 99.9% of the limited partnership interests in Liberty Mews Limited Partnership, a Maryland limited partnership focused on acquiring, developing, and operating low-income housing units in Garrett County, Maryland. It also has a 99.9% non-voting membership interest in MCC FUBT Fund, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company involved in acquiring, developing, and operating low-income housing units in Allegany County, Maryland, and Mineral County, West Virginia. As of December 31, 2025, the Corporation reported total assets of $2.1 billion, net loans of $1.5 billion, and deposits of $1.7 billion. Shareholders' equity on the same date was $203.6 million. First United Bank & Trust operates 23 banking offices, one customer service center, and 30 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) across Allegany County, Frederick County, Garrett County, and Washington County in Maryland, and in Mineral County, Berkeley County, and Monongalia County in West Virginia.
