Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. is a global biotechnology company focused on developing and delivering transformative medicines for people with rare diseases. The company currently markets two therapies. Galafold®, also known as migalastat, is an oral monotherapy for people with Fabry disease who have amenable genetic variants. Galafold® is approved in over 40 countries, including the U.S., E.U., U.K., and Japan, and holds orphan drug designation in the U.S., E.U., U.K., Japan, and other countries. Pombiliti® + Opfolda®, also known as cipaglucosidase alfa-atga/miglustat, is a two-component treatment for adults with late-onset Pompe disease. This therapy is approved in the U.S., E.U., U.K., Canada, Australia, Switzerland, and Japan, and has orphan drug designation or status in the U.S., U.K., Switzerland, and Japan, along with data exclusivity in the E.U. On April 30, 2025, Amicus entered an exclusive license agreement with Dimerix Bioscience Pty Limited for U.S. commercialization rights of Dimerix' Phase 3 drug candidate, DMX-200, for treating Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and other indications. On December 19, 2025, Amicus entered a definitive merger agreement with BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and its wholly owned acquisition subsidiary. If completed, Amicus will become a wholly owned subsidiary of BioMarin.
