First Bancorp, Inc

The First Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company incorporated in Maine on January 15, 1985. It operates primarily through its subsidiary, First National Bank, which was originally chartered as The First National Bank of Damariscotta on May 30, 1864. The company expanded its operations on January 14, 2005, by acquiring FNB Bankshares of Bar Harbor, Maine, which added seven banking offices and one investment management office in Hancock and Washington counties of Maine. On December 11, 2020, First National Bank purchased a branch in Belfast, Maine, from Bangor Savings Bank, acquiring approximately $23 million in loans and assuming approximately $19 million in deposits. The total transaction value was approximately $25.2 million. On January 31, 2022, the Bank opened a new branch office in Brewer, Maine, increasing its total branch locations to eighteen and marking its second branch in Penobscot County. As of December 31, 2025, the Company had 11,222,363 shares of common stock outstanding.
