This segment also provides products, services, and solutions designed to mitigate risk or facilitate real estate transactions, often utilizing real property-related data from the company's proprietary databases. Additionally, it offers banking, trust, warehouse lending, mortgage subservicing, and wealth management services. The home warranty segment sells home warranty products. The corporate segment includes financing facilities, a venture investment portfolio, and operating results from a property and casualty insurance business that no longer sells policies or has policies in force, along with corporate support services. The substantial majority of First American's business relies on activity in the real estate and mortgage markets. The company's heritage dates back to 1889, and its common stock has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "FAF" since June 1, 2010.
