We are a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small molecule therapeutics. Our development process involves validated targets, which are those with demonstrated roles in disease pathology, along with specific target product profiles, disciplined clinical trial design, and regulatory strategy. We are currently developing ELVN-001 and pursuing additional research-stage opportunities. ELVN-001 is a potent, highly selective, small molecule kinase inhibitor designed to target the breakpoint cluster region - Abelson ("BCR-ABL") gene fusion, which drives chronic myeloid leukemia ("CML"). It is an adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-competitive tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that blocks phosphorylation and oncogenic signaling by competing with ATP for binding at the kinase active site. While BCR-ABL TKIs have transformed CML prognosis, patients still face challenges such as primary or secondary resistance to existing TKIs, off-target activity of ATP-competitive TKIs (e.g., nilotinib, dasatinib) leading to adverse events, drug-drug interactions, and adherence difficulties due to specific food requirements for most BCR-ABL TKIs.
