Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL) and its subsidiaries are involved in the energy sector. In December 2019, Copel GeT acquired 100% ownership of Bela Vista Geração de Energia, which holds the ANEEL Auction No. 003/2018 for SHP Bela Vista. The commercial operations for generation units 1, 2, and 3 of SHP Bela Vista commenced in June 2021, July 2021, August 2021, and June 2023, respectively. On May 30, 2025, Copel GeT, a wholly-owned subsidiary, completed an asset swap with Axia. This transaction consolidated Copel GeT's interests in HPP Mauá and Mata de Santa Genebra into its portfolio, while transferring its entire interest in HPP Coláder to Axia. The total amount disbursed for this swap was R$ 196.6 million. On October 22, 2025, Copel completed the divestment of the Baixo Iguaçu Hydroelectric Plant, with a total equity value of R$ 1,683.3 million. The authorization for TPP Figueira expired on March 26, 2019. Copel had previously requested an extension for this plant on May 24, 2017, for an additional 20 years. However, on October 30, 2023, Copel requested the cancellation of this extension application, aligning with its Strategic Planning 2030 to decarbonize its portfolio and move towards renewable energy. TPP Figueira has an installed capacity of 20 MW. On February 23, 2024, ANEEL authorized the suspension of its commercial operation. On December 9, 2024, Copel requested ANEEL to terminate the authorization and exempt it from asset reversal, as the plant is in the process of divestment.
