Eagle Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, incorporated on October 28, 1997. It serves as the parent company for its principal operating subsidiary, EagleBank. EagleBank, a Maryland chartered commercial bank and a member of the Federal Reserve System, commenced banking operations on July 20, 1998. The company was founded by local businessmen and professionals with experience in community banking in its market area, alongside an experienced senior management team. EagleBank currently operates twelve branch offices: six in Suburban Maryland, three in the District of Columbia, and three in Northern Virginia. The Bank also has four lending centers and offers digital services such, as remote deposit and mobile banking. EagleBank maintains its physical presence through these branches and lending centers as part of its strategic plan. Eagle Bancorp, Inc. has three active direct subsidiaries: Bethesda Leasing, LLC, Eagle Insurance Services, LLC, and Landroval Municipal Finance, Inc. Bethesda Leasing, LLC holds and operates real estate acquired through foreclosure. Eagle Insurance Services, LLC continues to receive fee income from a referral program that previously offered access to insurance products and services through a third-party insurance broker.
