Eastern Bankshares, Inc. is a Massachusetts-chartered bank holding company that provides banking, trust, and investment services through its wholly owned subsidiary, Eastern Bank, founded in 1818. As of December 31, 2025, the company had total consolidated assets of $30.6 billion, total gross loans of $23.6 billion, total deposits of $25.5 billion, and total shareholders' equity of $4.3 billion. The company offers diversified products and services including lending, deposit, and wealth management. Deposits from its branch network are the primary source of funds for lending and general business. Deposit account offerings include demand deposit, interest checking, money market, savings, and time certificates of deposit accounts. Lending focuses on commercial and industrial, including an Asset Based Lending Portfolio, commercial real estate, commercial construction, small business banking, residential real estate, and home equity loans. Through Cambridge Trust Wealth Management, a division of Eastern Bank, the company provides wealth management and trust services. Additionally, it offers automated lock box collection, cash management, and account reconciliation services to corporate and institutional customers, and cash management services to municipal clients. Eastern Bank controls eight active subsidiaries: Broadway Securities Corporation, which deals in and holds securities and industrial revenue bonds (IRBs); Real/Property Services, Inc., which provides real estate services to Eastern Bank; Millennium Corporation, which holds IRBs; and Shared Value Investments LLC, which invests in low income housing and other tax credit investments.
