GrafTech International Ltd

GrafTech International Ltd., founded in 1886 and incorporated in Delaware, is a manufacturer of high-quality graphite electrode products. These products are essential for producing EAF steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The company operates low-cost ultra-high power ("UHP") graphite electrode manufacturing facilities, including some of the highest capacity facilities globally. Its graphite electrode manufacturing facilities are located in Calais, France; Pamplona, Spain; and Monterrey, Mexico. A facility in St. Marys, Pennsylvania was idled in 2024. GrafTech is the only large-scale graphite electrode producer substantially vertically integrated into petroleum needle coke, which is its key raw material for graphite electrode manufacturing. The company's sole reportable segment, Industrial Materials, includes two major product categories: graphite electrodes and petroleum needle coke products. As of December 31, 2025, GrafTech's stated production capacity was approximately 178 thousand metric tons ("MT") through its primary manufacturing facilities in Calais, Pamplona, and Monterrey. Graphite electrodes are industrial consumable products primarily used in EAF steel production, where they act as conductors of electricity to generate heat for melting scrap metal, iron ore-derived products, or other raw materials to produce steel or other metals.
