Digi International Inc. is a leading global provider of business and mission-critical Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity products, services, and solutions. The company, incorporated in 1985 as a Minnesota corporation and reorganized as a Delaware corporation in 1989, helps customers deploy, monitor, and manage critical communications infrastructures that deliver important information in demanding environments with high levels of security and reliability. Its common stock trades on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol DGII. Digi International operates through two reportable segments: IoT Products & Services and IoT Solutions. The IoT Products & Services segment offers products and services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), enterprise, and government customers for secure IoT connectivity solutions. These offerings include embedded and wireless modules, console servers, enterprise and industrial routers, and other infrastructure management equipment. This segment also provides device management platform services and professional services for data capture and management from connected devices. The IoT Solutions segment comprises the SmartSense by Digi business and the Managed Network-as-a-Service (MNaaS) business, acquired in November 2021 through the acquisition of Ventus Wireless, LLC and affiliated entities. SmartSense by Digi offers wireless temperature and other condition-based monitoring services, employee task management, and label printing. During the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, Digi International acquired Jolt Software, Inc. to enhance SmartSense by Digi's offerings. SmartSense by Digi and Jolt collectively focus on vertical markets including food service, healthcare (primarily pharmacies and hospitals), and supply chain.
