Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier to the global automotive industry. The company offers a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles. Dauch Corporation is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, and operates in 24 countries with more than 175 locations. The company is a successor to American Axle & Manufacturing of Michigan, Inc., a Michigan corporation, following a migratory merger in 1999. In 2017, Dauch acquired Metaldyne Performance Group, Inc. (MPG), which became a wholly-owned subsidiary. On February 3, 2026, Dauch completed the acquisition of Dowlais Group plc (Dowlais), acquiring its entire issued share capital. In this Business Combination, Dowlais shareholders received 0.0881 shares of new Company common stock and 43 pence per share in cash (approximately $0.59 per share as of the closing date) for each Dowlais ordinary share. This transaction resulted in the issuance of approximately 117 million shares and a total purchase price of approximately $1.7 billion. The acquisition of Dowlais Group plc and its subsidiaries, GKN Automotive and GKN Powder Metallurgy, formed Dauch Corporation.
