CyberArk Software Ltd. was founded in 1999 and provides identity security solutions. The company initially released its Sensitive Information Management Solution, previously known as the Sensitive Document Vault, which offered a secure platform for employees to share sensitive files. In 2005, CyberArk introduced its Privileged Access Management (PAM) Solution, establishing its position in the PAM market by providing security controls for high-level and high-value access within organizations. CyberArk's ordinary shares were listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (Nasdaq) on September 23, 2014. The company has expanded its offerings through both internal research and development and strategic acquisitions. In 2015, it acquired Viewfinity, Inc., a provider of Windows least privilege management and application control software, and Cybertinel Ltd., a cybersecurity company specializing in cyber threat detection. Further acquisitions include Conjur Inc. in May 2017, which provides DevOps security software, and IDaptive Holdings, Inc., an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) provider, in May 2020. In March 2022, CyberArk acquired Aapi.io, a provider of no-code application integration and workflow automation solutions, followed by C3M, LLC, a provider of multi-cloud security and compliance solutions, in July 2022. More recently, in October 2024, the company acquired Venafi Holdings, Inc., a provider of machine identity management solutions, and in February 2025, it acquired Zilla Security Inc, a provider of identity governance and administration solutions. These efforts position CyberArk as a global leader in Identity Security, offering a comprehensive platform for securing both human and machine identities.
