CENTURY CASINOS INC

Century Casinos, Inc. is a casino entertainment company that develops and operates gaming establishments and related lodging, restaurant, horse racing (including off-track betting), and entertainment facilities. The company, founded in 1992, primarily operates in North America. Its business strategy focuses on developing or acquiring new gaming opportunities and growing and reinvesting in existing operations. Century Casinos began operating casinos in 1996 with an acquisition in Cripple Creek, Colorado. In 2006, it opened casinos in Central City, Colorado, and Alberta, Canada. In 2007, the company acquired a 33.3% ownership interest in Casinos Poland, Ltd. ("CPL"), which owns and operates casinos throughout Poland. An additional 33.3% ownership interest in CPL was purchased in 2013, resulting in a majority 66.6% ownership. Between 2015 and 2019, the company acquired another casino and developed two racing and entertainment centers ("RECs") in Alberta, Canada. In December 2019, three properties were added to its United States ("US") portfolio: two in Missouri and one in West Virginia, referred to as the "2019 Acquisition." This acquisition involved a triple net lease agreement, the "Master Lease," with subsidiaries of VICI Properties Inc. ("VICI PropCo"). In 2022, Century Casinos acquired 50% of Smooth Bourbon LLC ("Smooth Bourbon"), which leases the land and building for the Nugget Casino Resort ("the Nugget") in Reno-Sparks, Nevada.
