Celestica is a technology leader providing design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and platform solutions. The company enables critical data center infrastructure for AI, cloud, and hybrid cloud, and advances technologies in high-growth markets. Celestica operates across two operating and reportable segments: Connectivity and Cloud Solutions (CCS) and Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS). The CCS segment includes the Communications and Enterprise end markets, with the Enterprise end market comprising the company's servers and storage businesses. Celestica was incorporated in Ontario, Canada on September 27, 1996, and operates a network of sites and design centers in North America, Asia, and Europe. Prior to its incorporation, Celestica was an IBM manufacturing unit for over 75 years, beginning to provide electronics manufacturing services to non-IBM customers in 1993. The company was purchased from IBM in October 1996 and completed its initial public offering in 1998. In 2023, Onex completed two secondary public offerings in June and August, selling approximately 18.8 million of Celestica's Subordinate Voting Shares (now Common Shares) upon conversion of all outstanding multiple voting shares (MVS). Following the August 2023 offering, Celestica has no MVS outstanding and Onex is no longer its controlling shareholder.
