Clean Harbors, Inc. is a leading provider of environmental and industrial services across North America. The company aims to offer sustainable services and products that reduce environmental impact, maximize environmental benefits through reuse and recycling, and support customer business needs. It is the largest provider of parts cleaning and related environmental services to general manufacturing, automotive, and commercial customers in North America, and the largest re-refiner and recycler of used oil in North America. The company operates through two segments: Environmental Services and Safety-Kleen Sustainability Solutions. The Environmental Services segment collects, transports, treats, recycles, and disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste using a network of over 100 waste disposal facilities, including incinerators, landfills, treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs), wastewater treatment facilities, and solvent recycling centers. This segment also provides emergency response services and addresses per- and poly-fluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) requirements through its Total PFAS Solutions, which includes testing, water filtration, site remediation, and disposal. Additionally, it performs industrial maintenance and specialty industrial services, and collects containerized waste and provides parts washer and vacuum services to small quantity generators of hazardous waste. The Safety-Kleen Sustainability Solutions (SKSS) segment offers services covering the life-cycle of sustainable lubricant products.
