We are a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on targeted protein degradation (TPD) science to create small-molecule medicines. We use our proprietary TORPEDO platform to design and optimize small molecule protein degraders that are active against desired targets by utilizing the body's natural process for destroying unwanted proteins. Our strategy is to develop degraders that modulate clinically validated disease pathways. Our degraders have demonstrated oral bioavailability and catalytic activity, and we can design brain-penetrant compounds. Our clinical pipeline includes two oncology degraders: cemsidomide and CFT8919. Cemsidomide is an orally bioavailable MonoDAC (molecular glue type) degrader targeting IKZF1 and IKZF3 (IKZF1/3) for multiple myeloma (MM). It is our most advanced product candidate and is in a Phase 1 trial in combination with dexamethasone, showing anti-myeloma activity. CFT8919 is an orally bioavailable, allosteric, mutant-selective BiDAC degrader of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) with an L858R mutation for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Our collaboration partner, Betta Pharma, is conducting clinical development of CFT8919 in Greater China. Preclinical studies showed CFT8919 had equivalent anti-proliferation activity against major EGFR-inhibitor resistance mutations, including L858R-C797S, L858R-T790M, and L858R-T790M-C797S, compared to the L858R single mutation in Ba/F3 cell models in vitro. Our discovery strategy also focuses on developing new degraders for inflammation, neuroinflammation, and neurodegeneration.
