Capital Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company incorporated in Maryland in 1998, operating primarily through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Capital Bank, N.A. Capital Bank, a commercial-focused community bank, is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, and began operations in 1999. The company serves businesses, not-for-profit associations, entrepreneurs, and others across the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, other Maryland markets, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, and North Carolina. It operates through seven commercial bank branches, one mortgage banking office, three loan production offices, three government loan servicing offices, and one credit card operations office. On October 1, 2024, the company completed its acquisition of IFH, with IFH merging into Capital Bancorp, Inc. Immediately following this, West Town Bank & Trust merged into Capital Bank. Windsor Advantage ™ , a wholly-owned subsidiary, was acquired as part of the IFH acquisition. The company operates four divisions and reporting segments: Commercial Banking, OpenSky ™ , Windsor Advantage ™ , and Capital Bank Home Loans ("CBHL"). The Commercial Banking division primarily operates in a corridor from Raleigh, North Carolina to Delaware, with significant activity in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan statistical areas. This division also has offices in Chicago, Illinois, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and conducts nationwide lending and deposit activities through specialized verticals such as lender finance, government guaranteed lending, and other commercial and industrial ("C&I") lending.
