Chubb Limited is a global insurance and reinsurance organization headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. As of December 31, 2025, Chubb had total assets of $272 billion and total shareholders' equity of $74 billion (excluding noncontrolling interests). Incorporated in 1985, Chubb maintains operations in Bermuda, where its first business office opened. Chubb provides commercial and consumer property and casualty (P&C) insurance, accident and health (A&H), reinsurance, and life insurance across 54 countries and territories. Its commercial insurance offerings include risk management programs, loss control, engineering, and complex claims management. Specialized insurance products range from Directors & Officers (D&O) and financial lines to specialty-casualty, umbrella, excess casualty, aviation, and energy. Consumer lines insurance coverage includes homeowners, automobile, valuables, umbrella liability, and recreational marine products. Chubb also provides A&H and life insurance to individuals in select countries. The company expanded its A&H and life insurance business with the acquisition of Cigna's business in several Asian markets in 2022. On July 1, 2023, Chubb gained a controlling majority interest in Huatai Insurance Group Co. Ltd (Huatai Group), a Chinese financial services holding company with P&C, life, and asset management subsidiaries. As of December 31, 2025, Chubb's ownership interest in Huatai Group was approximately 87.2 percent.
