This segment also offers various flight simulation training devices, ab initio pilot training, crew sourcing services, and digital solutions for airline operations. The Defense and Security segment functions as a training and simulation provider, offering platform-independent solutions designed to enable and enhance force readiness and security. Its clients include defense forces, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), government agencies, and public safety organizations. CAE Inc. was incorporated in 1947 as CAE Industries Ltd. and changed its name to CAE Inc. in 1993. The company is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Canada.
