General BlueLinx is a wholesale distributor of residential and commercial building products across all 50 U.S. states. As a "two-step" distributor, the company purchases products from manufacturers and distributes them to dealers and other suppliers in local markets, who then sell to end users. BlueLinx offers a broad portfolio of branded and private-label products across two main categories: specialty products and structural products. Specialty products include engineered wood products (EWP), siding, millwork, outdoor living products, specialty lumber and panels, and industrial products. Structural products include lumber, plywood, oriented strand board, rebar, and remesh. The company also provides value-added services and solutions to address distribution and logistics challenges for customers and suppliers, while improving their marketing and inventory management capabilities. BlueLinx operates branches in 57 cities across the U.S., with some locations having multiple warehouse and storage facilities, enhancing its distribution and storage capacity. This network serves many of the largest and highest growth metropolitan areas. The corporate headquarters is located near Atlanta in Marietta, Georgia. BlueLinx distributes products from leading manufacturers such as Allura, Arauco, Fiberon, Georgia-Pacific, Huber Engineered Woods, Louisiana-Pacific, Oldcastle APG, Ply Gem, Roseburg, and Westlake Royal. Its customer base includes national home centers, pro dealers, cooperatives, specialty distributors, regional and local dealers, and industrial manufacturers. During the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, BlueLinx acquired Disdero Lumber Co.
