BRBI BR Partners S.A. is a corporation incorporated under the laws of Brazil, established on March 3, 2009. The company's principal place of business is in São Paulo, Brazil. Initially formed as a holding company in 2009 by Mr. Ricardo Lacerda and other senior officers, BR Partners first concentrated on providing financial advisory services, specifically for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and capital raising, through its investment banking business line. Between December 2009 and December 2010, the company raised approximately R$140 million of capital from businesspersons and investors, including the Feffer, Vasone, Zogbi, Verdi, Oliveira, Pinheiro, Seripieri, Alvez de Queiroz, and Limirio families and the company Negotio Magni. These investors have experience across various sectors such as pharmaceutical, technology, payment methods, food, pulp and paper, health, and real estate. In June 2012, BR Partners received authorization from the Brazilian Central Bank to operate as a financial institution. Consequently, in early 2013, it incorporated its subsidiary BR Partners Banco, which manages an active investment portfolio and is authorized to operate in the currency market. The company also formed BR Partners Gestora and commenced investment operations, holding equity interests in privately-held companies.
