Boston Omaha Corporation, which began its current business operations in June 2015, operates four distinct business lines: outdoor billboard advertising, broadband services, surety insurance and related brokerage activities, and an asset management business. The company also holds minority investments in commercial real estate management and brokerage services, a bank specializing in the automotive loan market, a company serving the broadband industry, and a publicly-traded developer of private aviation infrastructure. The outdoor billboard advertising business started in June 2015 through acquisitions by its subsidiary, Link Media Holdings, LLC, in the Southeast United States and Wisconsin. In July and August 2018, the company acquired three larger billboard companies, increasing its total billboard count to approximately 2,900. Since then, additional smaller-scale billboard acquisitions have been made. As of December 31, 2025, the company operates approximately 3,900 billboards with approximately 7,500 advertising faces. The company aims to acquire more billboard assets in the United States.
