BKV Corp

BKV Corp is an energy company focused on developing natural gas producing assets, owning and operating natural gas-fired power generation assets, and making selective acquisitions. The company's core businesses are the production of natural gas and the generation of natural gas-fired power from its owned and operated assets. This is supported by a closed-loop strategy involving its upstream, midstream, power, and CCUS businesses. On January 30, 2026, BKV Corp completed the acquisition of an additional 25% interest in the BKV-BPP Power Joint Venture. Following this transaction, BKV Corp owns 75% of the BKV-BPP Power Joint Venture, with BPPUS owning 25%. Effective as of the first quarter of 2026, BKV Corp's reportable segments changed to two reportable segments: Upstream/Midstream and Power. It also has one operating segment, Corporate and Other, which includes its CCUS business. Prior period segment information has been retrospectively recast to reflect this new presentation. BKV Corp's operations are supported by four business lines: natural gas production, natural gas midstream, power generation, and CCUS. The company's operating approach is a closed-loop model that aligns these business lines for cost efficiency, commercial optimization, and operational reliability. This approach allows BKV Corp to retain operational control over the production, transportation, and processing of natural gas. For example, in the Barnett Shale, natural gas produced from BKV Corp's upstream assets is gathered and transported in part through its midstream systems.
