The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE: BK) is a global financial services company based in New York, New York. As of December 31, 2025, the company managed $59.3 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration and $2.2 trillion in assets under management. BNY, including its subsidiaries, has been operating since 1784. The company organizes its operations into three main business segments: Securities Services, Market and Wealth Services, and Investment and Wealth Management. It also has an "Other" segment, which covers corporate treasury activities, tax credit investments, other corporate investments, corporate and bank-owned life insurance, derivatives and other trading, and certain business exits. BNY's two primary U.S. banking subsidiaries provide trust and custody activities, investment management services, banking services, and various securities-related activities. The Bank of New York Mellon, a New York state-chartered bank, handles Securities Services (including Asset Servicing and Issuer Services), certain Market and Wealth Services (including Payments and Trade and Clearance and Collateral Management), and the bank-advised part of Investment Management. BNY Mellon, National Association, a national bank, manages the Wealth Management business and certain activities of its Pershing businesses.
