Biofrontera Inc. is a United States-based biopharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes pharmaceutical products for dermatological conditions, with a focus on photodynamic therapy (PDT). The company's products include Ameluz and the BF-RhodoLED and RhodoLED XL lamp series, collectively known as the "RhodoLED Lamps." These products are used to treat actinic keratosis (AK), a common skin condition characterized by pre-cancerous lesions. Biofrontera Inc. generates revenue by selling its products directly to dermatology offices and groups through its national commercial team. The company was formed in 2015 as a Delaware corporation and a wholly owned subsidiary of Biofrontera AG, a German stock corporation. Biofrontera Inc. completed its initial public offering in 2021.
