Ignite Proteomics LLC provides services related to proteomic products that identify and support oncology clinical treatment decisions and biopharmaceutical drug development. Until recently, the company was a holding company for IMAC Regeneration Centers and The BackSpace retail stores, providing movement and orthopedic therapies and minimally invasive procedures. As of December 31, 2023, the company sold or discontinued patient care at all its locations. In May 2024, the company acquired certain assets and rights of Theralink Technologies, Inc., including a nationally CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited, and New York State Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (NYS-CLEP) certified laboratory in Golden, Colorado, and equipment located in the lab. Theralink was developing technology to monetize a license from Vanderbilt University, which provided a predictor of response to immunotherapy in cancer, and a license for business in the United States from George Mason University, which included intellectual property around improvements to the technology platform and biomarker signatures for future proteomics products. The company has entered into agreements with Vanderbilt and George Mason University to transfer these licenses. On May 30, 2024, the company formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Ignite Proteomics LLC, to operate the medical lab, deliver services related to proteomic products under the licenses, and collect fees. The company uses the acquired assets under its own branding, the Ignite name. Ignite has obtained credentials to bill Medicare for reimbursement for its Ignite proteomics test and is in the process of obtaining credentials for reimbursement by certain other third-party payors. The company also accepts payment from private insurers.
