Aviat Networks, Inc. is a global supplier of microwave networking and wireless access networking solutions, complemented by a comprehensive suite of professional services and support. The company was incorporated in Delaware in 2006, combining Harris Corporation's Microwave Communications Division (MCD) and Stratex Networks, Inc. On January 28, 2010, its corporate name changed from Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. to Aviat Networks, Inc. As of July 3, 2026, Aviat Networks, Inc. had 900 employees. Aviat Networks, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells wireless transport and access networking products, solutions, and services to two main customer types. The first type is Communications Service Providers (CSPs), which include mobile and fixed telecommunications network operators, broadband and internet service providers, and network operators that generate revenue from communication services. The second type is private network operators, which build networks for economic, autonomous, and/or security reasons to support mission-critical applications. Examples of private network operators include federal, state, and local government agencies, transportation agencies, energy and utility companies, public safety agencies, and broadcast network operators globally. The company sells products and services directly to customers and, to a lesser extent, through agents and resellers. Its products use microwave and millimeter wave technologies to establish point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless links for short, medium, and long-distance interconnections. In addition to wireless products, Aviat Networks, Inc. provides routers and various premise and hosted private cloud-based software tools and applications. These tools facilitate the deployment, monitoring, network management, optimization, and operational assurance of its systems, and automate network design and procurement.
