Astronics Corporation provides advanced technologies to the global aerospace, defense, and electronics industries. The company's products and services include high-performance electrical power generation, distribution and motion systems, lighting and safety systems, avionics products, systems certification, aircraft structures, and automated test systems. Astronics has primary operations in the United States, Canada, France, and Germany, with engineering offices in Ukraine and India. The Ukraine office is a small engineering office and has not experienced significant disruption from the Ukrainian and Russian conflict. Astronics operates through two reportable segments: Aerospace and Test Systems. The Aerospace segment designs and manufactures products for the global aerospace and defense industry. Its product lines include lighting and safety systems, electrical power generation, distribution and seat motion systems, aircraft structures, avionics products, systems certification, and other products. Aerospace customers include airframe manufacturers (OEMs) for commercial transport, military, and general aviation markets, suppliers to these OEMs, aircraft operators like airlines, suppliers to aircraft operators, and branches of the U.S. Department of Defense. In 2025, this segment's sales were 75% to the commercial transport market, 15% to the military aircraft market, 9% to the general aviation market, and 1% to other markets. Most sales result from day-to-day or single-year contracts, though multi-year commitments are occasionally received. The Test Systems segment designs, develops, manufactures, and maintains automated test systems for the aerospace and defense, communications, and mass transit industries.
