Atmos Energy Corporation is a natural gas-only distributor headquartered in Dallas, incorporated in Texas and Virginia. The Kentucky/Mid-States division serves Kentucky across 220 communities with 176,494 customer meters, Tennessee with 163,667 customer meters, and Virginia with 23,836 customer meters. The Louisiana division serves Louisiana across 270 communities with 360,589 customer meters. The West Texas division serves Amarillo, Lubbock, and Midland across 80 communities with 316,036 customer meters. The Mississippi division serves Mississippi across 110 communities with 249,562 customer meters. The Colorado-Kansas division serves Colorado across 170 communities with 130,890 customer meters and Kansas with 140,542 customer meters. Atmos Energy operates under non-exclusive franchise agreements granted by the cities and towns it serves. As of September 30, 2025, the company held 1,010 franchises, generally with terms ranging from five to 35 years.
