Aspen Group Ltd is an education technology holding company that operates two universities: Aspen University Inc. ("Aspen University" or "AU"), established in 1987, and United States University Inc. ("United States University" or "USU"). The company utilizes its education technology infrastructure to provide affordable higher education through these institutions. A primary focus for future growth is the nursing profession. As of April 30, 2022, 11,522 out of 13,334, or 86%, of all active students across both universities are degree-seeking nursing students. Among these, 9,562 are Registered Nurses (RNs) pursuing advanced degrees, with 6,672 at Aspen University and 2,890 at USU. The remaining 1,960 nursing students are enrolled in Aspen University's BSN Pre-Licensure program, offered in the Phoenix, Austin, Tampa, Nashville, and Atlanta metropolitan areas. Aspen University has provided a monthly payment plan for all online degree programs since March 2014, allowing students to make a fixed monthly payment towards tuition and fees (excluding textbooks). Online undergraduate students can pay $250/month, online master students $325/month, and online doctoral students $375/month, all interest-free. USU has also offered monthly payment plans since the summer of 2017.
