AdvanSix Inc. is an integrated chemistry company that produces essential materials for diverse end markets. The company’s five U.S.-based manufacturing facilities play a critical role in global supply chains, delivering products for customers in building and construction, fertilizers, agrochemicals, plastics, solvents, packaging, paints, coatings, adhesives, and electronics, among other end markets. AdvanSix operates in the industries of nylon solutions, plant nutrients, and chemical intermediates. Its key product lines include Nylon Solutions, which encompasses Nylon and Caprolactam. AdvanSix sells its Nylon 6 resin globally, primarily under the Aegis® brand name. Nylon 6 is a polymer resin used by customers to produce fibers, filaments, engineered plastics, and films for end-products such as carpets, automotive and electric components, sports apparel, and food packaging. Caprolactam is the key monomer for Nylon 6 resin production. AdvanSix internally polymerizes caprolactam into Aegis® Nylon 6 Resin and also sells unconsumed caprolactam to customers who use it to manufacture polymer resins for fibers, compounds, and other nylon products. AdvanSix was separated from Honeywell International Inc. on October 1, 2016, through a distribution of its common stock to Honeywell shareholders.
