AleAnna, Inc. is a natural gas resource company that supplies natural gas to Europe through onshore conventional natural gas exploration and development and renewable natural gas development in Italy. The company has several conventional natural gas discoveries, including the Longanesi field in the Po Valley in Northern Italy, which is one of Italy's largest modern natural gas discoveries. AleAnna holds a 33.5% working interest in the Longanesi field, acquired in 2016, with Padana as its working interest partner and operator. The company also owns wholly-owned concessions, permits, and pending applications for other exploration and development prospects across Italy, supported by proprietary modern 3D seismic reservoir imaging. In 2023, AleAnna launched a renewable natural gas development business focused on producing carbon-negative renewable natural gas from animal and agricultural waste. Between March 2024 and July 2024, the company completed three strategic acquisitions of renewable natural gas plant projects in Italy for an aggregate €9.0 million, or approximately $9.8 million. These plants are fully permitted and include one new greenfield development and two currently operational brownfield plants, which AleAnna plans to develop and upgrade for future renewable natural gas production. Over the past 15 years, AleAnna has invested approximately $250 million in acquiring and initially developing its properties. Its portfolio of conventional natural gas properties, including Longanesi, Gradizza, and Trava, contains approximately 25.8 (10 9 ft 3 ) net recoverable proved natural gas reserves, as reported by its independent third-party reserve engineer, DeGolyer & MacNaughton.
