Amwell is an enterprise platform and software company that digitally enables hybrid care. The company provides core technology and services to health providers, payers, and innovators to develop and distribute digital care programs under their own brands. Founded in 2006, Amwell’s platform supports care across in-person, virtual, and automated modalities. As of December 31, 2025, Amwell powers digital care programs for approximately 50 health plans, covering over 90 million lives, and approximately 80 of the nation's largest health systems. Since its inception, Amwell has powered more than 37.6 million virtual care visits for its clients, including over 4.5 million in the year ended December 31, 2025. The Amwell Platform, which consists of enterprise platform and software as a service solutions, enables hybrid care delivery. For health systems, the platform facilitates provider-to-provider virtual care for uses such as stroke and virtual nursing. Amwell’s suite of Carepoint devices enhances in-person care by converting existing equipment like televisions or iPads into digital access points, or through the use of Amwell Carepoint carts and peripherals. The Amwell Platform also extends care outside traditional settings, enabling on-demand and scheduled provider-to-patient care for urgent care, primary care, behavioral health, chronic disease management, and specialty follow-up care.
