General Alexander's, Inc. is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that leases, manages, develops, and redevelops properties. The company and its consolidated subsidiaries are managed by Vornado Realty Trust. Alexander's owns five properties, all located in New York City. These properties include 731 Lexington Avenue, a 1,080,000 square foot multi-use building in Manhattan, which has 952,000 rentable square feet of office space occupied by Bloomberg L.P. and 128,000 rentable square feet of retail space. The Home Depot was the principal retail tenant until its lease expired on January 31, 2025. Another property is Rego Park II, a 606,000 square foot shopping center in Queens, anchored by a 145,000 square foot Costco and a 133,000 square foot Kohl's. Other tenants include a 60,000 square foot Burlington, a 47,000 square foot Best Buy, and a 40,000 square foot Marshalls. Kohl's store is currently closed, but the tenant is obligated under its lease until January 2031. The company also owns Flushing, a 167,000 square foot building in Queens, subleased to New World Mall LLC, with a ground lease through January 2037. Rego Park I, a 338,000 square foot shopping center adjacent to Rego Park II, is currently vacant since Burlington and Marshalls relocated to Rego Park II in 2025. Finally, The Alexander apartment tower, located above Rego Park II, contains 312 units totaling 255,000 square feet.
